2008 Cheyenne County 4-H Scholarship Recipients

The 2008 recipients of the Cheyenne County 4-H Council Scholarship are Micahla Beyer and Josh Brauer, both of Sidney.

Micahla, daughter of Mike and Melinda Beyer is planning to attend Johnson and Wales University and major in an Entrepreneurship and Fashion Design and Merchandising. Micahla has been a member of 4-H for 9 years and has been an active member of the Shamrocks, Bunker Hillbillies and Junior Leaders 4-H Clubs, as well as a dedicated student at Sidney High School. She has been involved with Second Grade Safety Day, Western Nebraska Groundwater Festival, Crafts for Kids as well as numerous activities at Sidney High School: Drama, Concert, Jazz, Marching and Pep Band, Speech and FCCLA.

Josh Brauer is the son of Craig and Carla Brauer. Josh is planning to attend Nebraska Wesleyan University and will be pursuing a Pre-Engineering and Technical Theatre Degree. Josh has been in 4-H For ten years and is a member of the Shamrocks and Junior Leaders Club. He has been involved with numerous activities at Sidney High School: Marching, Pep and Jazz Band, Drum-line, Speech, FCCLA, Cross-Country and Swing Choir, in the community: Youth as Resources, High Plains Arts Council Tech Advisor and Boy Scouts and through 4-H: State 4-H Camp Counselor, Workshop presenter, Crafts for Kids and served as a youth representative for the 4-H Council.
